Now heading down under… Ever heard of an Aussie brekkie? Australians love their avocado toast (who doesn’t?), often served with poached eggs and a sprinkle of feta cheese on top for good measure. Simple but oh-so-delicious! A friend from Melbourne swears by adding a squeeze of lemon juice for extra zing.
Oh man – how could I forget about India? One word: dosa! These thin crepes made from fermented rice batter are just divine when paired with coconut chutney or sambar (a spicy lentil soup). During my visit to Bangalore, every morning felt like an adventure as local vendors whipped up these beauties on hot griddles right before my eyes.
And then there’s Sweden – land of fika breaks and delightful breakfasts known as ‘frukost.’ Swedish breakfasts often feature crispbread topped with smoked salmon slices or boiled eggs sprinkled generously with dill – talk about simple elegance!
